Research

Dr. Ying Shen is a QiuShi Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University, a winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholar. He has found a number of important molecules and modulation mechanisms critical to neural transduction and integration, and related diseases, and currently works on the modulation of cerebellum on motor and psychiatric diseases. His major work has been published in Nat Neurosci, Neuron, PNAS, J Neurosci, and so on. His researches are funded by 973 Project and Major Scientific Research Project of Ministry of Science and Technology of China, National Natural Science Foundation and Zhejiang Natural Science Foundation. He is the editor or editorial board member of several scientific journals, including Scientific Reports, Cerebellum, and Neurochemistry International.

      Research focus

Our research focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms which play in: A) Cerebellar development and plasticity; B) Modulatory mechanisms of the expression of glutamate transporters; C) Molecular mechanisms of myelination.
