李华顺教授1986年上海第二军医大学获医学学士，1989年获解放军总医院血液病学硕士。1991到1994年在约翰霍普金斯大学做访问学者。1999年获华盛顿大学神经生物学理学博士学位。1999到2005年在加州大学旧金山分校作博士后研究。2005到2007年在美国乔治亚州医学院分子医学和遗传学研究所任助理教授。2007年起任四川大学发育和干细胞研究所研究员、所长。

主要研究方向为发育细胞生物学，在该领域已有十八年科研经验，已在Cell、Neuron、Gene & Development、 Nature Neuroscience、Development及等国际顶级杂志发表论文9篇，被他引960余次。从2007年7月回国至今，作为课题第一负责人承担国家级研究课题三项，分别为科技部重大科学研究计划课题和国家自然科学基金。
