Professor Shen Ying obtained the doctorate of science from Zhejiang university in1999. He received his postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University during years 2000-2007. Professor Shen Ying performed research on cerebellar function and found the key molecules and  mechanisms of glutamatergic synaptic transmission, integration and excitation in cerebellum. His research results were published multiple leading journals including Nat Neurosci, Neuron, PNAS, J. Neurosci and so on. He has won several honors including the New Century Excellent Talents project of the ministry of education,  the Zhejiang Provincial Funds for Distinguished Young Scholar, the first prize of Lin Baixin high technology award and the first prize of the Zhang Xijun outstanding paper from the Chinese association of physiological sciences. He is also the associate editor of Scientific Reports and Cerebellum, and the editorial board of Neurochemistry International.
