Opening Faculty Positions in Neuroscience

From:Admin PubTime:Dec 19, 2016 Visits:1005

Zhejiang University Neuroscience Research Center is adding faculty positions. Positions are available at all levels.

At the Zhejiang University Institute of Neuroscience (ZJU-INS), a team of 30 core laboratories, 12 joint laboratories and more than 200 faculties and staffs work together to solve fundamental neuropsychiatric problems. Opened in 2005, ZJU-INS is a hub for collaborative neuroscience discovery at the Zhejiang University. During the past years, the institute has published more than 190 papers, including Science, Cell, Neuron, Nature Neuroscience, Nature Communication, Cerebral Cortex, eLife and The Journal of Neuroscience.

The center will build on its core strengths and focus on (but not limited to) the study of neural signal transduction, synaptic function and genetic and molecular mechanisms of neuronal circuits, as well as the combination of basic neurobiology research and translational research of neuropsychiatric diseases, which means translating the new concepts, new technologies and new methods into studies on major neuropsychiatric pathogenesis, diagnosis and new drugs targets.

Candidates using (but not limited to) molecular, genetic, behavioral, electrophysiological and/or imaging methodologies to study neurons, synapses and networks are particularly encouraged to apply. We offer generous start-up packages, newly renovated laboratory space and a highly collaborative environment offering opportunities for both basic and translational research.

Applicants should hold a PhD and/or MD degree and have productive postdoctoral experience. Successful candidates will be expected to develop thriving, well-funded research programs and to contribute to graduate and medical education.

Please submit electronic applications to Professor Xiaoming Li, the executive director of  ZJU-INS (
